Definition of Revocation
A revocation occurs when a consumer decides to cancel a purchase within the 30 day defined cooling-off period. This period allows consumers to return the product without needing to provide a reason.
Seller’s Responsibilities
- Processing Revocations: The seller must process any revocation requests made within the cooling-off period and ensure that instructions on how to revoke a purchase are clear and accessible.
- Refunds: Upon revocation, the seller must refund the consumer all payments received, including shipping costs, within a specified timeframe following the return of the goods.
